A loan of $1,325 helped to buy three female and two male calves.

Maira Arely's story

Maira, 28, is single living with her mother, a brother and her four-year-old daughter. She’s been working for two years buying and selling cattle. Her brother taught her this occupation; he learned it from their father. She buys the animals in the community, fattens them up for a period of two to six months and then takes them to the livestock exchange located 25 kilometers from home to sell them.

The loan she’s asking Fundación Campo for is to buy three female and two male calves that she hopes to sell later on at a good price to provide better health, clothing and food for her daughter and her mother.
