Issa's story

ssa is 42 years old. He is married and has four children. He lives with his wife and children in the town of Koutiala (Sikasso Region). Issa has been working in retail for over 10 years. His store is located in the Koutiala commercial center. This business brings him an important income as the demand keeps growing, and he has many customers every day. In order to meet customer expectations and expand his business, Issa has turned to the Soro Yiriwaso microfinance institution for help in attaining his goals. He is on his fourth individual loan. This loan will be used to build a large stock of plastic items such as pitchers, pails, bathtubs, pots and dishes. He stocks up in Bamako and from wholesalers in Koutiala. Expanding his business, Issa plans to earn a monthly revenue of 90,000 West Africa Francs, which will be used to pay off the interest and provide for the needs for his family, with the rest reinvested in his business.
