A loan of $1,875 helped a member to buy vegetables to sell.

Las Verduleras Unidas Group's story

Las verduleras unidas [The United Vegetable Sellers] is made up of a good group of women from the city of Itá.

They were formed when one of the members got in touch with a counselor from a weekly meeting held in the area. She informed her of what type of work the Women's Committee does, that it is in its sixth cycle and still growing.

The group is made up of all women who sell vegetables, which is what the group is named after.

Mrs. Pablina is a member who comments that she works hard day to day in order to get ahead.

They are asking for this loan to buy vegetables to sell. This way they can keep working and supporting their daily living.

In this group: Pablina, Gloria, Florinda, Eugenia, Nancy, Ana, Blanca, Celia, Nidia, Daisy, Natividad, Luciana
