A loan of $525 helped to buy an overlocking sewing machine.

Yola's story

Yola, 26, has one son aged 6. She makes chamarras, similar to ponchos, for a living and lives in the town of Batallas, which is where her workshop is located. She has worked in this trade for several years and this loan is her first cycle within the institution.

Yola will use the loan to buy an overlocking sewing machine for sewing her chamarras and she is requesting the loan as she does not earn enough from her work.

Yola faces challenges in her business, such as continuing to improve the quality of her products and overcoming the challenge of the distance between her home and the city of El Alto, where she must take her finished products to sell them. She is going to use the profits to continue increasing her output. Her wish is to expand her business and make a variety of items of clothing.
