Joseley lives in the Kongowea area of Coast Province, Kenya. He is married and has two school-going children. He owns a retail shop, a business which he has been operating for four years. He is also formally employed.
He learned about Milango through friends who invited him to their group. He joined Milango with the aim of accessing credit to improve his business operations. His main challenge is competition from other businesses like his own.
Joseley is applying for a loan of 52,300 Kenyan shillings, to buy retail stock of engine oil and other lubricants. The extra income from the loan will be added to his savings, to improve the living standard of his family and to pay school fees for his children. His dream is to see his business grow to a bigger business and to open another outlet.
