A loan of $150 helped to purchase foodstuffs, like rice, biscuits, and oil, to resell in her grocery store.

Sarah's story

Sarah is 41 years old, she is married, and she has five children between the ages of 8 and 14 years. They all live in Buchanan, a city in Ground Bassa County that is good at producing fish for the Liberian local market. She was not fortunate enough to attend school, but she is good at managing a business. She has been running a shop, where she sells foodstuffs like rice, biscuits, vita, candy, oil and pepper, for the past 24 years. She learned this way of selling from her mother.

Sarah is requesting a loan to purchase inventory for her business. She likes her business, because she has more customers and her daily savings amount is high. Her plans are to build her house and expand her business.
