Rufus K.'s story

Rufus is 45 years old and lives in Ganta city, one of the most talked-about cities in Nimba County. It is the second largest population county in Liberia and rich in natural resources. Rufus is married, with three children ages 6, 8, and 23, all of whom live at home and attend school. For the past 10 years he has been running a general shop. He has requested this loan to purchase more biscuit, batteries, butter, soap, oil, rice, toothpaste, milk etc., in other to have his business turn into a bigger one. The problem he's faced with is small capital. He started this business by selling for his father on a table at the market and learned this from friends. What he likes about this business is that he meets new people and makes profit every day; it makes him proud of having money in his home every day. He spends eight hours on his business every day, and uses a bus to get his goods from the wholesale center. In the future he wants to open another shop in the next community.
