A loan of $1,850 helped a member to purchase millet to make porridge to sell.

Foyer De La Femme Ndande Group's story

This Banc Villageois, which houses this group, was created on December 16, 2011; it comprises eighteen women who live in the same village and who do diverse work, such as livestock farming, sewing, and small-scale commerce.

Ms. Fatou is the featured borrower. She is 49 years old, married, and the mother of six children, all girls. She has a business selling millet porridge. In the photo, she is the one standing at the right dressed in a nice blue 'boubou', and her left hand is raised.

She resupplies herself with millet for business purposes from area markets.

Her wish is to use her profits to bolster her savings, so as to obtain a more substantial loan.
