Vuqar's story

Vuqar is a 44-year-old man. He is an IDP who lives in the Bilasuvar IDP Settlement with his wife and two children. After several attempts to find a job he decided to start his own business. He is farmer and has raised seasonal fruits and vegetables for the last 10 years.

He chose this business because it is profitable and fresh crops are in high demand. People use fresh vegetables every day and consider them healthy. Many national dishes are made from vegetables, like pilau and dolma. Fresh fruits are served on ever Azerbaijan family’s table and are also used to make fresh punch.

Vuqar sells his crops in the Bilasuvar central bazaar. His monthly income is 100 AZN. His wife actively helps him to raise the crops. As his products are in high demand, Vuqar wants to expand his business and produce more fruits and vegetables to cover market demand. For this purpose he applied for 1700 AZN. He will buy new garden tools, seeds and fertilizers. This will be his 3rd loan and he has positive loan history.
