A loan of $1,100 helped to purchase new clothing to restart her clothing sales business following the birth of her son.


Monhtsetseg's story

Mrs Monhtsetseg is a 30-year-old female head of the family who lives with her three children in Ger, in the Bayanhoshuu district of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Her 9-year-old daughter, Anudari, goes to a local primary school and her 5-year-old duaghter, Anuzaya, goes to a local kindergarten. Monhtsetseg gave birth to her son, Saruulbayar, just 3 months ago. She has been running a clothing sales business since 2009. However, her business is temporarily on hold because of her pregnancy leave and maternity leave. She is now requesting 1,500,000 Mongolian tugriks (MNT) to purchase new clothing to restart her business in order to cover her family's expenses. As she has a new baby, her family expenses have increased. She is a hardworking, positive woman.
