A loan of $275 helped to buy fruits and vegetables to sell.

Carlos Humberto's story

Carlos, 37, is single and lives in the municipality of Macuelizo, Santa Bárbara. Previously, Carlos had a business where he was selling only basic grains. But a year ago, he decided to sell fruits and vegetables. He has a sales stall in the local market where he sells bananas, apples, chayote, cilantro, radishes, peppers, tomatoes, celery, carrots, cabbage, beets, and other produce. He decided to request a loan for 5,000 Honduran lempiras to capitalize his business so that he can stock up on fresh fruits and vegetables. This business sees strong demand because the products he sells are consumed daily. Carlos' goal is to grow the business so that in the future, when he has children, he can provide them with the best.
