Arafat 3 Group's story

Arafat 3 is a group of two women and two men from al-Hodeida, Yemen. They applied for a loan of 170,000 YER from AMB to purchase clothes and vegetables for resale and repair a motorcycle.

Joma'a is a 41-year-old married woman with seven children. When her husband became unable to work because of his illness four years ago, she had the responsibility of taking care of her family. Since then she has been selling perfumes and incense. She is a door-to-door seller.

When Joma'a heard about AMB, she immediately applied for a loan of 50,000 YER to help her keep going on her business and buy more clothes. Joma'a looks forward to selling to new clients in different quarters and making considerable profits.
