Azeia Group's story

Azeia group consists of four women from Aden, Yemen. They applied for a 120.000 YER loan from AMB to buy clothes for resale.
Azeia is a 50-year-old married woman with 15 children. She is illiterate and lives with her husband and children in a poor area in Aden. They are one of the low-income households in Aden. They suffer from bad living conditions. She decided not to give up and to start up a small business. She wants to be a door-to–door saleswoman, but she needs the capital to purchase woman and kid's clothes for resale; therefore she applied for a loan of 30,000 YER. Azeia hopes to earn large profits in order to help her family to pay for all their living expenses, especially school and university fees.
