Fulla Group's story

Fulla group consists of four women from Aden, Yemen. They applied for a 160,000 YER loan from AMB to buy clothes for resale.

Jamila is a 51-year-old married woman with five children, and the leader of the group. She is illiterate and lives with her husband and children in Aden. Her family is one of the low-income households in Aden.

She has been carrying out a business of purchasing and reselling women's and children's clothes for the last three years. She is a door-to-door seller. After she got enough experience in her business, she wanted to expand her business and start targeting new clients from different quarters in Aden, but she doesn’t have enough money. Therefore, she applied for a loan of 50,000 YER.

Jamila hopes to earn large profits in order to help her family pay for all their living expenses and improve their standards of living.
