Ina

A loan of $925 helped to buy 100 crates of soft drinks and transport them to her shop.

Ina's story

This is thirty-two-year-old Ina. She is married, and has two children ages eleven and four. She has two additional dependents that live with her and go to school.

In 2000, Ina established her drinks and provision business. She began the business following her husband's retirement six years ago because it was not easy to maintain their home. She worked assisting friends until she gathered enough capital to open her own business. Working 7 days a week and 10 hours a day, she earns about SLL 1,500,000 every month from this business.

She would like a loan of SLL4, 000,000 in order to buy 100 crates of soft drinks. She will use the remainder of the loan to transport the drinks to the shop. She hopes that this loan will enable her to increase her monthly profits by approximately SLL 1,000,000. In the future, Ina plans to become one of the strongest distributors of soft drinks by the grace of God and with the support of KIVA through ARD. She thanks you for your support.
