A loan helped to buy sewing supplies.

Karla Patricia's story

Karla lives in El Suburbio. She’s 31-years-old and has a minor son. As a result of her separation from her ex-spouse, she decided to look for work to continue paying for her son’s schooling but when no one would hire her to work for a firm she decided to gather money together to start her own general sewing business. Her business has gradually grown and now has a regular clientele.

Karla works by herself in her business every day. She heads to work at 6 in the morning after dropping her son off at work. She will use the loan to buy fabric, thread, buttons, etc. Her goal is that her son finish his schooling and to earn income to improve her business and her house.
