A loan of $1,825 helped a member to buy bags of clothes.

Sendero De Luz 1 Group's story

Ignacia is one of the members of the Sendero de luz (Trail of Light) Group 1, located in the city of Hato Mayor, a primarily agricultural region. It is one of the most rural cities in the Dominican Republic. Her business is used clothes sales. Ignacia lives with her long-term partner, and she doesn't have children. She tells us that her biggest challenge is to have a successful business.

Ignacia is very excited to receive her second loan through Esperanza Internacional, after having successfully repaid her previous loan. This was a step toward making her business grow. She has had her business for about three years. She started it with her own savings, selling pieces of used clothes in good condition. She used to go to the flea market and chose good pieces, then she sold them to clients; now she buys bags of clothes.

Ignacia plans to use this new loan to increase the quantity of her inventory. She plans to use her earnings to invest in her house. Her dream is to build her house. She thanks all of you for your support!
