A loan of $1,025 helped to purchase spare parts for motorbikes.

Mahamadou's story

This mechanic is also a motorbike spare parts salesman, he is 33 years old and married. He and his wife live with their five children with his father in the Koutiala prefecture (Sikasso region).
For social reasons he was not able to finish his primary school studies, this is why he went into mechanics, a profession that he learned from his brother ten years ago. This profitable activity makes sufficient income for him as he receives many orders every month. In order to satisfy his clientele and enlarge his business, Mahamadou requests a loan from the Soro Yiriwaso micro-finance institution hoping to reach his goals. This is his second individual loan. This loan will enable him to purchase spare parts for motorcycles from Bamako. He runs his sales business in his garage in Koutiala to a mixed clientele for cash or for credit.
Mahamadou hopes to make a profit of 100 000 FCFA per month which he will use to repay the interests of his loan, to cover his needs and invest the remainder in his business.
