Souleymane's story

Souleymane is 28 years old, unmarried without children, and lives in Koutiala (in the region of Sikasso).
He owns a hardware store and is also a wholesaler selling oil, which is used to make soap. He finds that his business is very profitable, and demand is often very high. In order to satisfy his customers and expand his business, Mr. Souleymane turned to the microfinance institution Soro Yiriwaso to meet his objectives. He is on his first individual loan. This loan will be used to acquire stocks of various merchandise: bulbs, electric wire, paint, locks, and glue. He gets his supplies from the wholesalers in Koutiala and Bamako and makes his sales at his shop in Koutiala Koko to a diverse clientele. With this loan, Souleymane intends to realize a monthly profit of 100,000 FCFA, which he will use to repay his loan, provide for himself, and reinvest in his business.
