A loan of $400 helped to stock her stand by buying more vegetables and groceries, such as eggs, salt, oil, and bananas.

Juana's story

Juana, who is 57 years old, is a very simple and hard-working woman. She lives in her own house, together with her husband, Manuel, who is 68, and their 7 beloved children, of whom 5 are adults and only 2 depend on her to be able to have a good education and to improve their quality of life every day. Juana's work is selling vegetables. She has a little sales stand that she has improvised in her house. She offers various vegetables and basic products such as rice, oil, sugar, milk, and eggs, among other items. Fortunately, her stand is very well stocked, and the flow of her customers produces the rapid sale of everything that she offers. She has worked every day for four years, and she does it alone because her husband works in other activities. She likes her work because she can converse with her customers when they come to buy something from her. She has very good customers, whose business she earns each day with her good treatment of them, her wide smile, and above all, the selection that she always offers. In the future she hopes to have a very large store where she can sell her vegetables and groceries with greater comfort. This is her 10th loan from MFP, and that's why she is very happy with the opportunity that allows her access to this financing and to continue with her goals. On her part, she promises to continue being a punctual member [of her communal bank] and to perform as she did with her previous loans. In the same way, she wants to continue working with the members of her communal bank, since they are all very friendly and united. With the 1000 PEN that she is applying for, she will buy more vegetables and groceries such as eggs, salt, oil, and bananas, since she wants to better stock her sales stand.
