A loan of $500 helped to buy tires and perform maintenance on his taxi.

Armando Jose's story

Armando José Chavarría is from Condega, a small village some 35 kilometers north of Estelí. He is happily married and has three grown children.

He is the owner of a taxi business, and he drives the taxi himself. This allows him greater control of the business and enables him to bring better service to his customers. He works every day of the week from 7 am to 10 pm, and even later on weekends. He reports that this is his main source of income to support his family. His wife works in the mayor's office in Condega and also contributes to the household expenses.

He is seeking a loan from Ceprodel so that he can make improvements to his taxi. He needs to buy tires and to perform periodic maintenance. By maintaining his vehicle in consistently good condition, he will be be able to provide better service, which directly impacts his income.
