A loan of $300 helped to buy fabric to sew school uniforms.

Yerna María's story

Yerna, 57, considers taking care of her children to be her main priority as a mother. Because of this she decided to study dressmaking and start her own business. This allowed her to generate income to sustain her home and give her time to be with her family.

She has been working in the garment industry for thirty years and feels that her work has been one of her greatest joys. It has allowed her to fullfil large projects throughout her life.

Today she is asking for a loan to buy fabric to sew school uniforms and take advantage of the current demand.

Her greatest wish is to be able to expand her business and to give women, who are heads of households, the chance to work so they can contribute towards the improvement of their quality of life.
