Osmán's story

Osman, 48, has six children and lives in a village belonging to the municipality of Tela, Atlántida. Since a very young age Osman has worked in agriculture as a day laborer. He has about 30 years’ experience. He buys and sells cows, pigs and the fruit of African palms that produce oil. He’s done very well with this activity. He’s invested several ODEF loans and he’s currently requesting his fifth cycle with a 20,000 Lempira loan he’ll use to buy cattle and pigs to buy and sell and also to buy and sell fruit from the African palm. He earns his highest income from selling cattle. His dream is to continue helping with his children’s schooling and to buy another parcel of land to build his house.
