A loan of $1,500 helped to buy school supplies, clothes and basic grains for her store.

Mercedes Del Carmen's story

Mercedes, 33, is originally from León. She is a single mother with three children and works as a saleswoman, selling clothes and groceries. She started this business with her own money, and by selling clothes in the streets. This business gave her good income, and with the profits she decided to start a groceries store in her house twenty years ago. The store is her second business and with a lot of effort she has been able to succeed with it.

The school season is approaching now and she needs to restock her business with school supplies. For this reason, she is requesting a loan to buy notebooks, pens, pencils, colored pencils, erasers, marker pens, clothes and basic grains for her store. Her goal is to offer more products demanded by her customers and in this way obtain better profits.
