A loan of $1,025 helped to buy a sewing machine and raw materials for her business.

Encarnacion's story

Encarnación, 48, has been sewing oven gloves for a living for several years. She sews the gloves in her workshop, which is located in her home, in the Pampahasi area.

This loan is her first cycle with the institution. Encarnación will use the loan to buy a sewing machine and fabrics to make into gloves for the wholesale market.

Her motivation for requesting the loan is to increase her investment capital. Encarnación faces challenges in her business, which are to increase her income and use her profits to invest them in materials for sewing gloves. She sells her products at market and makes them to order. Her gloves are very useful for taking hot trays out of the oven and lifting very hot pots.

Encarnación is a very hard-working person and feels happy and grateful to the institution for the support is has offered.
