A loan of $800 helped to hire day laborers who will help in the second weeding of this production year.

Mery's story

Mery, who is 42, shares a beautiful life with Octavio, who is 41, and their four little children, Vanesa, Iván, Cristopher, and Jefferson, to whom they offer their best. She is the owner of a home constructed from adobe, which she built little by little.

Since she was a child, she lived with her parents in the country, where she learned the various farming activities relating to the production of organic cacao and other profitable products of the region. She has spent almost 20 years working in this independent manner alongside Octavio, with whom she has the pleasure of working shoulder to shoulder for the well-being of the family. She likes her work since she is accustomed to agricultural activities. However, the rainy season indirectly impairs her activities.

Finding herself in the middle of the production season for cacao, they want to hire day laborers and proceed with removing the weeds in a manner that will ensure a quality production. For this reason, they have turned to their financial institution.

Among her long-term objectives is the purchase of a lot, since she wants to set up a home for her children near a center of higher education.

She needs to have 2000 PEN to hire laborers who will help in the second weeding of this production season.
