A loan of $200 helped pay to have the radio estation equipment serviced.

Elvira's story

54-year old Elvira is married to Claudio whith whom she has three children. She and her husband live in their own house in a rural area. Her enterprising nature is one of Elvira's virtues. 33 years ago she started making crafts, and then ten years ago she began a business as a radio announcer. She and her husband set up a radio booth, and now they announce the most important information about local and distant events.

"My husband produces the programs, and I am in charge of the controls," she says proudly. In the hours when there are few listeners, they play music. And Elvira still keeps working on her crafts.

As advertising and radio announcements generate a good income, Elvira wants to keep the equipment in good condition and continue with this work. This will be her 11th loan with MFP. As she did in the past, she promises to be punctual with the repayments. She notes that her community bank, 'Mujeres al Futuro', help her a lot with the matter of savings.

With the 500 soles, Elvira will be able to have the radio equipment (the console and mixers) serviced.
