A loan of $4,000 helped a member to buy animals to sell.

Mujeres Emprendedoras Group's story

The “Mujeres Emprendedoras” (Enterprising Women) committee is from the city of Santaní and is in its 5th cycle with 15 women members. The funds obtained by the committee will be invested in animals and animal feed. All the members work buying and selling live and butchered animals. It’s a very united group capable of carrying out activities that strengthen their household’s and their group’s economies.

Rumilda is requesting this loan to buy animals to then resell them. Rumilda sells the animals in a street market that takes place weekly in the city center and she also sells the agricultural products her husband grows that way too.
