A loan of $800 helped to buy pea seeds and fertilizer.

Elvira's story

Elvira, 35, lives in her own house alongside her husband, Juan, 45, and their three minor children. They all live together in their own house located in a rural annex. Working in the fields is exhausting but Elvira works hard despite this. She knows that agricultural work requires much dedication in order to produce a productive harvest. When the crops are ready for sale, she heads to the city’s wholesale market where all the merchants buy from her at good prices that allow her to earn regular profits. Because of this, she likes working in the fields very much because all her sacrifice is rewarded when she’s able to provide her children with a good quality of life. Elvira dreams with her children being able to study professional careers in the city and she will not rest until she accomplishes this and since she’s an enterprising woman she’s planning in future to plant larger amounts. This time she’ll focus on planting peas and gladiola flowers and this is why she needs your help.

This will be MFP loan #5 and she’s very grateful to all the people who made the loan possible that will allow her to continue working to get ahead. She also thanks all the members of her “Las Truchitas de Yaroka” communal bank for their solidarity. Elvira will use the requested loan to buy pea seeds and fertilizer to prepare the soil for the next planting and attain a productive harvest.
