A loan of $400 helped to buy seeds and compost.

Guillermo's story

Guillermo, age 45, is a hardworking and responsible man. He has been married to Sara for many years and they have four children (ages 12, 7, 3, and 9 months). They live in their own home. Guillermo wants to provide his family a better quality of life, so this is the reason why he works. His main business activity consists of growing different vegetables. He also repairs motors for electric generators, motorcycles, heavy machinery, and other types of equipment. Guillermo performs his work on-site, so he must travel whenever his customers call him and arrive at the time that they request. He has been in this line of work for more than 12 years and is very good at what he does. For this reason, he is always called upon to solve the problems related to his customers’ equipment.

What he enjoys most about his job is being able to generate household income. He also has a schedule that he can manage, but sometimes he receives calls at inappropriate times. Since his customers pay him well for his services, he is always willing to find solutions to their problems. Going forward, he hopes to continue working in the same manner as he is doing now because he feels comfortable in his profession.

This is his sixth loan with the MFP organization. Guillermo is requesting assistance so that he can carry out his plans. He feels very good about being a member of his group and is grateful to MFP for giving him the opportunity to grow with his family. The amount of 1,000 PEN that he requested will be used to buy seeds and compost for planting his crops.
