A loan of $1,000 helped to buy a home.

Ricardo Sneider's story

Ricardo is young, enthusiastic, and hard working. He lives in the city of Camana, known for having a warm and welcoming climate. There is much agriculture here, especially rice, beans, and other things. Because of his low financial resources, Ricardo was only able to study to middle school, but he would have liked to have attended university.

Each day Ricardo works as a delivery man for a small soft drink company. He works about 10 hours per day and supports his parents with the fruits of his labor. He believes that things are going well for him because he is responsible and honest.

Ricardo is grateful to the Kiva lenders who have made it possible for him to buy a small house, because he is living in a rented home. In this way he can improve his family’s quality of life and continue working to be able to achieve his greatest dream, “to have his own business and become a prosperous merchant.”
