A loan of $925 helped to purchase polyethylene and wood for greenhouse.

Rakhim's story

Rakhim is from the village of Kesalo. He is 55 years old, married, and lives with his family – his wife, two sons, daughters-in-law and a grandchild. The main source of income for the family is a greenhouse, with a total area of 800 square meters. The greenhouse is busy during the summer season, when tomatoes are grown there. He also grows peppers and greens on rented agricultural land.

Rakhim sells the harvested produce himself on the local wholesale market. The family also has a milk cow, a milk buffalo and a young buffalo. Rakhim’s wife produces cheese and Rakhim sells it on the same market. With the requested loan, he will purchase polyethylene to cover the greenhouse construction and wood for heating it. After the greenhouse is heated properly, the family will be able sow green grocery products during the whole year. They will sell them at a good price which will significantly increase the income of the family.

Rakhim plans to expand the greenhouse in future and reinvest the increased profit in the same business.
