Wilfred, age 41, is a farmer in Bundibugyo, Uganda. He grows cocoa and also buys cocoa from other farmers to sell. He has operated his business for over five years.
Like most farmers, he is challenged by inadequate capital to buy necessary farm inputs, coupled with price fluctuation. Nevertheless, his dream is to become the leading cocoa supplier in the district.
Wilfred intends to use the loan to buy cocoa to offer for sale.
This loan provides farmers and low-income entrepreneurs from underserved rural areas with access to financial services. By supporting this loan, you allow more farmers and rural entrepreneurs to access capital.
