Kristine's story

Kristine was born and lives in the city of Kapan, in the Syunik region together with her parents, who are retired. Kristine is 40 years old and she is not married. She finished the Kapan Polytechnic Institute and is a metallurgical engineer by profession. Kristine worked in this area for six years, but as the salary was small she decided to start her own business.

In 2010, Kristine opened her own cafeteria in Kapan. The business is small, but as Kristine says: "It is profitable and enough for living". Her parents and friends help her in the business. Kristine has many loyal customers who love to sit and have a good time at Kristine's cafe. She loves her business and is proud of the accomplishments she has made in such a short period of time.

Kristine decided to broaden the menu and add traditional dishes; lahmajo, shawarma and kebab, which will help her increase the turnover of the business. Kristine needs a loan in the amount of 1,700 US dollars to purchase an oven for lahmajo and add tableware to the cafe.
