A loan of $375 helped to buy general merchandise to sell in his shop, such as such as books, sugar, and salt.

Christopher's story

Christopher, age 30, operates a retail shop where he sells general merchandise. He has been in this business since last year and it allows him to supplement the small salary he earns as a teacher. He lives with his wife and their three children in Masindi, Uganda.

As the good father that he is, Christopher desires to educate his children up to the university level. For this reason, he intends to set up other sustainable income-generating activities and hopes eventually to own a wholesale shop, despite facing the challenge of inadequate capital.

Christopher intends to use his loan funds to buy general merchandise to sell in his shop, such as such as books, sugar, and salt.
