Mohand Group's story

Mohand is a seven-member group. All of them are poor ladies from Taiz, Yemen.

They applied for a 140,000 YER loan from AMB to renovate their houses.

Anesah is a 49-year-old married woman who has some children. She is the leader of the group. She is uneducated and living in a poor area in Taiz. Her house is very old and in a miserable situation. The house is vulnerable to fall down at any time.

It is known that house renovation requires a lot of money. She has started renovating her house but now she is in short of money. She needs to complete the renovation task, so she asked for a loan of 20,000 YER to buy cement and bricks. She hopes that after the completion of house renovation, she will start accumulating money to improve the life conditions of her family and open a saving account.
