A loan of $1,000 helped to buy feed for cattle.

María Dolores's story

María is 29 years old and single. She lives in a place that is 4 km from the town. She lives with her mother, who is elderly, and her two nieces, 8 and 9 years old. Since her father died she has assumed responsibility for the household, because she is the eldest and because her mother can no longer work.

María started farming and looking after the cattle that her father left her, as she saw the need to learn others ways of surviving. Because of living in a place that is difficult to get to, she must pay for a mototaxi to get to her home with products, which costs her between five and ten dollars. This represents a major expense, so she can only buy some things.

The loan she is applying to Fundación Campo for is to buy feed for the cattle, due to the fact that it is the dry season, and the cattle need to be fed so that they will be well nourished. She needs the loan so that she will not need to sell the animals and be left with nothing.

Her wish is to be a good example to her nieces so that they are not overwhelmed by life's problems, to be a good client of the Foundation, and to continue striving for her family.
