Masumbuko's story

Masumbuko is a resident of Changamwe, Kenya. He runs a food café that has been running for six months. He is a married father of two children, although only one is school-going. He is also employed. He employs two other people in the current business.

Despite the challenges of perishability and bad debts, Masumbuko aspires to own a larger shelter from where he can sell the food. Masumbuko learnt of Milango from his friends. He is applying for a loan of 21,050 Kenya shillings to purchase utensils and cereals for the café.

He also desires to move to a new venue, have a carry-out goods business, and establish a hotel in the future. His challenges have been high competition and related fees.

Masumbuko believes the additional income from this loan will help him build and provide a good form of education to his child.
