Raphael is a resident of the Kongowea area of Coast Province, Kenya. He is married and has one child. Raphael owns a mobile money transfer shop, a business that he has been running for four years. He began the business from a loan he obtained from a friend. He is also formally employed.
He learnt about Milango from other clients and joined the institution with an aim of accessing credit to improve the operations of his business. His main challenge is lack of till float, a problem he sees partly sorted by this loan.
Raphael is applying for a loan of 41,850 Kenya shillings to increase till money and buy a stock of calling cards. The extra income will be added to his savings to improve on the sources of income, targeting a bank agency business.
He aspires to own other centers and pay for his child’s future education with much security.
