Naphy's Group's story

Originally from Kampong Cham Province’s Damabe District, Naphy is 37 years old and married. She has five children who are still in school. Naphy’s income is mainly from cassava planting and her husband also supplements the income by working for others for a fee. Together, she and her husband are able to make 20,000 KHR per day to cover the family's daily necessary expenses.

Naphy is in her first microloan with Kiva’s partner, VisionFund. Now she is leading her group to ask for a loan. As the leader, Naphy will use her portion to lease a plot of farmland to grow cassava. She hopes to grow more cassava so as to sell them for a good price and so better her living conditions.
