A loan of $2,750 helped to purchase more livestock for her farm.

Anargul's story

Anarkul is 45 years old and a widow. She was born in a very simple farming family with many children. From a young age she was an independent child and she helped her mother to take care of the household. She has a high school education. She and her husband have raised two sons who have been a reliable source of support since the grandmother passed away. By nature, Anarkul is a very lively, kind and honest woman.

Anarkul has been involved in animal husbandry since 1996. She and her husband started this business with an initial capital of 15,000 som (KGS) with which they bought some sheep. Thanks to their hard work and their determination, the farm is now very successful. Beside animal husbandry, Anarkul is also actively involved in agriculture. Her family now cultivates more than 6 hectares (14.82 acres) of land on which they sow wheat, potatoes and plants for forage, every year. The family's monthly income amounts to about 10,000 som (KGS).

In order to increase their headcount of livestock, Anarkul has turned to Bai Tushum & Partners for a loan of 130,000 som (KGS) with which she will purchase sheep and calves. With the earnings from the loan that she has received, she is planning to increase her headcount of livestock and, as a result, improve the family's living conditions.
