Margo's story

Margo is from the village of Marani. She is 47 years old and lives with her husband and two children. Margo’s husband works as a teacher at the local school and gets a small monthly salary. The family earns their living through an agricultural business. They are involved in the animal husbandry business and have four milk cows, whose milk is used to make cheese products. They sell approximately 70 kg of cheese per month. In addition, Margo grows nuts on the family-owned land. She does all relevant agricultural work to ensure a good harvest. The family also has three pigs and sells on average 36 piglets per year. Margo is a very hardworking person, with a rich work history. She requested a loan to purchase a milking cow which will enable her to produce and sell more cheese. She wants to expand her business in order to earn a good profit. With increased profits, she will be able to reinvest in her agricultural business, as well as spend more on the family’s daily needs and improve the family's living conditions.
