A loan helped a member to buy more sacks of charcoal to resell.

Compressor Group's story

Magreth, who is in her late 30s, is married with three school-going children. She has been running a charcoal business for eight years now. She works from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily and is able to earn a very good monthly profit.

This will be Magreth's eleventh loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy a plot, TV set, radio, fridge and sofa set as well as to cover household expenses and increase her charcoal stock. She has paid all her loans successfully. She is requesting a loan to buy more sacks of charcoal to resell. Her dream is to one day be able to build her own house.

Magreth will share this loan with her loan group, "COMPRESSOR," which has a total of 10 members who will hold each other accountable for paying back the loan.
