A loan of $500 helped to pay for grocery items, toiletries and beverages needed in her business.

Alma's story

This is Alma. She previously accessed a 15,000 PHP loan that she used to purchase increased quantities and varieties of grocery items and products needed in her business. Her earnings are a big help in paying for her child’s education, as well as in her family's personal, household and business expenditures. She and her husband are working hard to provide income for their everyday expenses. Her variety store is growing as she is increasing her inventory.

She would like to apply for another 20,000 PHP loan to buy groceries, toiletries, beverages and other products to add to her inventory. The more items displayed at the store the better, as this will result in increased profits. The profits from her business will definitely help sustain her family’s daily needs and the education expenses for her child. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

Alma hopes to expand her business. She dreams of being successful in life and of living a peaceful life. She faithfully meets up with her fellowship* co-members to share stories of her work every week, where she can also draw strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners/clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay micro finance loans.
