A loan of $800 helped to make repairs and generally maintain her vehicle.

Fredi Livia's story

Fredi is a 52-year-old woman who lives in the city of Chiclayo, in the district of Guadalupe, with her husband and their four children who she loves and who are her principal cause in life. She is a very friendly, hard-working and enthusiastic person who, along with her husband, works in the construction sector and dedicates all her effort to moving her family forward.

Regrettably, due to a lack of economic resources and the need to work, Fredi could not study the professional major of Nursing. In her free time she likes television and on some occasions she cooks delicious noodles to share with her family.

On her own initiative and with much dedication and determination, Fredi works offering transportation services. She has a small car in which she buses people from her district to the center of her city. She works every day starting in the early hours of the morning and she can work for approximately ten hours.

Fredi feels happy doing her work and she believes it is going well for her because of the good treatment she offers her clients. Fredi is very thankful for the Kiva lenders, since thanks to the help they offer she will be able to make repairs and do general maintenance to her car. In this way, Fredi will be able to have her working tool in better condition. Thus Fredi will continue working and striving to achieve her great dream to acquire more cars, and with them she hopes to start her own transportation business.
