A loan of $800 helped to buy a variety of cosmetics.

Zonia's story

Zonia, 46 years old, is a very active woman. She is married to Damian, who is 45 years old. With Damian, Zonia has had the pleasure of providing her three children (who are now working adults) with a solid education. Zonia owns her own house made from good material. She used to work selling food, but she recently opted to venture into selling items from catalogs door-to-door. In this work, she discovered her aptitude for retail and a less demanding way to make a living.

Zonia has been selling from these catalogs for five months now and she feels very motivated by the success she has had finding customers with orders to fill. She sells cosmetics more than any other product. Zonia is grateful for this job since it has allowed her to strike up new friendships and to meet many new people each day. Nevertheless, she realizes that she will need to work even harder to take full advantage of the potential for sales in her region.

Since demand is so high, Zonia plans to buy cosmetics at wholesale in order to get discounted prices. In the future, Zonia wishes to buy a lot at the edge of the city and, together with Damian, open a small restaurant and being working in the service industry.

Zonia is requesting a loan of 2,000 Peruvian soles to buy cosmetics and other items at wholesale in order to increase her earnings.
