A loan of $325 helped to purchase some toys for the children she takes care of, as well as products to have in stock.

Mary's story

Mary, who is 40, is a brave and enterprising woman. She has four children whom she provided with an education and raised until they could become independent. She currently lives in her own home with her husband Emilio, who is 45. In him she finds the strength to work hard in order to have a better quality of life.

Mary's work is twofold. Her first business is a nursery school, where she provides child-care for the single moms in her area. Her job is to feed them and protect them. She is very well-known in her neighborhood for her love of children, which is why her friends and neighbors rest assured leaving their little ones at this nursery school, where they pick them up after their work.

Besides this business, she also sells products by catalog and always has a cosmetics item, a fragrance, or a lotion to offer her customers, who are her friends and neighbors. She works on her own and has been doing so for over five years. Even though her work is hard at times, she knows she has to do her best in order to have better earnings. She makes lots of sales, but she would like to increase them further and have better income. She wants to keep working so that she can expand her business.

She will use the requested amount to buy some toys for the children she takes care of, as well as to stock up on cosmetics.
