A loan helped to buy weight-lifting equipment.

Luis Alberto's story

Luis Alberto, 28, lives with his wife and two-year-old son in Sabanagrande located 20 minutes from the city on the banks of the Magdalena River. He has a business where he offers managed recreation services through exercise in a space at home; he offers individual and group services via aerobic exercise, weightlifting and others to help his customers lose body fat. His daily work starts very early in the morning and goes until 8 at night when his last group finishes.

He started his work two years ago with guidance from a friend who sold him the equipment he now has in his business because he was unable to tend to it. Gradually, Luis Alberto has acquired clientele and now people recognize the quality of his work and need him to teach them how to use the appropriate equipment to retain their special figures. His most important goal at present is to get financing to make the business grow and eventually own a house with space set aside for a gym. This is why he’s calling on a Kiva loan, his first financing with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo to buy weightlifting equipment for better service and with it start on the road to business success by means of each loan he gets through Kiva.
