A loan of $375 helped a member to buy sheep for sale.

Khalifa Group's story

The Khalifa group consists of four women from Taiz, Yemen. They applied for a loan of 80,000 YER from AMB. They intend to use this loan to buy a flock of sheep for sale.

Arwa, the leader of the group, is 24 years old, married, and has four children, two of whom are in school. Since she is uneducated and can't find another job, she decided to apply for a loan of 20,000 YER to buy sheep for sale. This will help her to improve her life conditions and to send her children to school to ensure they have a better future than her own. Arwa wishes to make a profit from selling sheep and accumulate enough money to buy a truck in the future.
