Fran's story

Fran, 26 years old, is a responsible man. He lives with his wife, Dalila, and their daughter, Jimena. For the last six months, they have taken care of Jimena in Fran's sister-in-law's house. Six years ago, Fran took on the responsibility of his family's finances, so in turn, his sister-in-law helps to care for his wife and daughter.

In the mornings, Fran works on a tractor to turn up land for some farmers in his region. Over time, he planned to open a small food stand. His sister-in-law used to own one, but it closed when she moved to the capital. Fran decided to open another, similar to his sister-in-law's in order to improve it. This business has gone very well for him. His wife helps him to manage the store. It is the only one of its kind in their town, so they always need to acquire merchandise in bulk. Now, Fran wants to restock his store, since the Christmas and New Year's season depletes it.

Fran belongs to the support group "Cruz de Espinas" (Cross of Thorns). This is his fourth loan with MFP. In all of these years of work, Fran has been very successful in his business and personal life, so he is very grateful and promises to be punctual with his repayments. Furthermore, Fran is grateful to belong to this group that supports him and has formed a kind of family.

Fran will use this loan to buy bags of rice, sugar, milk, eggs, and other nonperishable items.
